ARE UNNECESSARY PIXELS SLOWING DOWN YOUR SYSTEM?
32-bit True Color doesn't give you any more visible colors than 24-bit True Color. The extra 8 bits are for something called the Alpha Channel that is used by various 3D rendering techniques. If your computer is used exclusively for work-related tasks that do not require 3D rendering, don't use this setting. In fact, don't even use True Color! High Color generates more colors that the average human eye can perceive.

IS YOUR HARD DRIVE GIVING YOU ITS ALL?
Windows doesn't always properly detect UDMA setting on the IDE channel. It's surprising how many drives install in the older PIO mode by default. Having it use DMA when available is like having an afterburner in your car!
